Country House Cafe is a fantastic gem in the Travelers Rest area. The food is delicious. The servers and owner are fantastic. And the atmosphere is in the name... country. I even saw a wild turkey while I was there. Definitely a must for family dining. Don't forget the awesome desserts too.

Haven’t read through the reviews but not sure why they’re not all 5 stars. We’re from GA and stopped by here on a whim passing through the area. Very tasty food, big portions and priced for the area aka very reasonable compared to GA suburbs. Highly recommend! They prefer cash (who doesn’t!) but take cards.

What a lovely little place! My husband and I went for the first time when my family visited, and it was wonderful. Every staff member we met was happy and helpful, the food was good (simple, good, and hearty -- especially considering the reasonable pricing). My younger sister loved seeing their goats and a big white bunny, and a sweet hostess gave her free bread and fruit to feed the animals! Super thoughtful staff and good food. Definitely going back!

Great place to stop for breakfast. Service was friendly and quick and food was delicious. You have to get the biscuits!!!! They are huge, soft and delicious.

We have stopped by here a number of times and the service is always excellent.It is the classic mom and pop kind of place that gives good portions, traditional meal options, and makes you feel good when you visit them.Give it a shot!

I totally recommend this place! This place made me feel at home, and gave me a true southern atmosphere to enjoy while I ate my supper. The bacon cheese burger I had was very delicious, and with a side of fries it was almost more than I could eat. My only regret was that I wasn't able to try their cakes, banana split, or other desserts. I really hate that I don't live anywhere close to this place, but to any wayward travelers or ones that do live close...this is a great place to eat. Again I totally recommend this place to eat!!

I’ve eaten here twice now. It’s a good place for when you’re missing your Nana’s country cooking or for a hot summer day. They have food, Desserts, and ice cream. The first time I came was with my boyfriend a couple years back and the owner actually came and spoke to us personally and it was very nice. I wish I knew the name of the waitress we had this past time, but she was very nice and attentive too! I will definitely be coming back… Best Mac & Cheese I’ve ever had at any restaurant hands down!
